This collection was inspired by my time in Florida while developing product for the Prints by Nicole online shop. My artwork and textile designs are greatly inspired by my travels and for this tea towel collection this was no exception. While driving north in Florida we spotted various orange trees and homes that had planted garden florals mixed with tropical palms. I took this inspiration and created two prints for this tea towel collection in a bright sunset palette of oranges and pinks. Shown below are the actual products that I designed the artwork for and hand sewed myself for this collection.
I really enjoyed this project and being able to manage the full product creation from start to finish. I drew all the elements on my iPad. Turned them into allover repeats in Adobe Photoshop and printed the fabrics from Spoonflower. After receiving yardage I cut them into standard Tea Towel sizes and sewed them using my Brother sewing machine to sell as a pair collection on the Prints by Nicole shop.
