Tulips in the Wind Textile Design
This design was inspired by a 1900s French interior wallpaper design which originally had tulips that seemed like they were in movement due to the wind in the garden. The original wallpaper design had soft pastel tones and was painted by hand with watercolors. I wanted to design a version of this wallpaper that was an interpretation with my own style in bright green and yellow tones. The goal was to design a repeating pattern that could be used for apparel, home or accessories. I had a lot of fun trying to adapt my line work style of design through a digital medium as this was illustrated on my iPad using special calligraphic and gouache brushes.

I recolored the tulips in the wind for apparel using a few of the seasonal SS25 Pantone colors and really enjoyed how it turned out.
